Who are we ?

Luísa Coheur

Luísa Coheur graduated in Applied Mathematics and Computation in 1994 from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon. She received a MSc degree in 1997, also from IST, with the development of a natural language interface to a database of tourist resources. In 2004, she received a PhD degree with a syntactic/semantic interface based on hierarchically organized rules, from both IST and Université Blaise-Pascal, in France. She has been a lecturer at Universidade Autónoma (from October 2004 to September 2005), Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias (from October 2005 to February 2006), and at IST since March 2006, where she has been teaching Artificial Intelligence and Algorithms and Data Structures. She started her research at INESC in 1995, in the Telematic Services and Systems group. In 1998 she became a member of the Telematic and Computational Systems Center from IST. In 2001 she became a member of the newly created Spoken Language Systems Lab (L²F). Her current research interests are question answering, dialogue systems, and machine translation.
